After selecting an element for a Mesh object, you can apply any

transformation to change the structure of that object. It could be a scale

or move transformation, which is the starting point for many 3D modeling

projects (Figure 2.15).

The two most used work modes in Blender are the Object and Edit. For

that reason, you will find a dedicated shortcut that allows us to quickly

swap between those two modes. You can press the TAB key with one or

more objects selected, and it will either go to Object or Edit Modes.

If you are in Object Mode, the shortcut swap to Edit Mode, and if you are

in Edit Mode, the TAB key will make you go back to Object Mode.

Info: You can use the same shortcuts to select multiple elements. For

instance, you can hold the SHIFT key to add multiple elements (vertices,

edges, or faces) to the selection.
